NORTHUMBERLAND HEATH FC vs langley park athletic
To say that wasn't what we were expecting would be an understatement.
The boys didn't really put their best foot forward that day, and it was a real shame to see.
No offence to Langley Park at all, but having faced them a few times before, we genuinely believed this was a game we could win. Unfortunately, the lads just didn't perform to the level we
know they're capable of.
They've faced tougher teams this season and risen to the challenge, which makes that day even harder to understand.
Not only did we come away defeated, but without finding the net even once. That's the first time this season we've finished a game without a goal and that's a tough pill to swallow.
Credit where it's due though Langley Park came ready with fight, with purpose and passion.
They worked hard for that win and deserved it on the day.
We wish them the best of luck in their upcoming matches in the Queen Mary Cup and for the rest of their season.
No doubt our paths will cross again in the future. We've always said they are always a great team to face and
next time, we'll be ready to come back stronger.
