We never really got going from the first whistle. The opposition came out with far more fight and determination, winning the majority of duels, tackles, and both first and second balls. They celebrated those moments and that’s where the difference showed.
On our side, we lacked intensity and drive throughout. It felt flat, and we struggled to find any real momentum.
We found it difficult to break them down, moving the ball too slowly and without enough purpose. As frustration started to creep in, it led to players clashing and losing focus on the game plan.
In the end, it finished 3–1, a tough result and one that reflects a performance we know is below our standards.
