Northumberland Heath continued their strong start to the Kent County League season with an entertaining 4–2 victory over Bromley FC Reserves.
After taking three points from the opening fixture, the Gaffer had called for more from the performance, and Wednesday night showed another step in the right direction.
The biggest improvement came from the mentality of the group. After a challenging first half, the Heath recognised the problems Bromley were causing, adapted and produced a much stronger second half display to secure another important three points.
It leaves the Heath with two wins from two, seven goals scored and six points on the board.
There is still plenty more to come from this group, with strong competition for places and standards continuing to rise throughout the squad.
A perfect start on paper, but the message remains clear. We’re not at our best yet.
