Northumberland Heath opened their Kent County League campaign with three goals, a clean sheet and all three points.
Despite the positive result, the Gaffer was quick to admit that the performance didn’t quite reach the standards expected from this group, with more to come as the squad settles into the new season.
One of the biggest positives came from the strength in depth. Four changes after 55 minutes had a noticeable impact on the game, highlighting the competition for places and the quality available throughout the squad.
It may not have been the complete performance, but three goals, a clean sheet and three points provide a strong foundation to build from.
The campaign is underway, and there’s plenty more to come from the Heath.
