This was an intense yet thrilling game.
We went into half-time 0–0 down, and on the return the lads dug deep and finished with a 1-2 win. It wasn’t the prettiest football at times — scrappy, for sure — but when the opposition come at you hard and play rough, you’ve got to prove you’re more than a one-trick pony.
The boys did exactly that. They defended with grit, showed resilience, and found a way to secure the win. As the gaffer always says, “the game isn’t over until it’s over” — and today proved that true.
A few knocks and injuries were picked up along the way, but the determination and winning mentality shone through.
