Today wasn’t one for our usual pretty football — it was a dogfight. We battled for every first and second ball, earned the right to play, and once we did, the goals started to come.
A tactical masterclass from gaffa Danny saw an early formation change and a couple of tweaks that shifted the momentum, putting us 2–1 up by half-time. The team talk focused on togetherness — on being energizers, not zappers — and the boys took it to heart.
The second half showed exactly that. We came out on top, added to the scoreline, and finished the match with a strong 5–2 win, despite a questionable penalty shout from the opposition. Job done. Into the quarters we go!
