We turned up ready to go, things finally got underway and the game itself was as straightforward as they come. We didn’t play our best, but certainly not our worst either.
There wasn’t much in the way of drama. One bad tackle cropped up, and truth be told, we were perhaps a little fortunate not to come away worse from it. Apart from that, the overall play from both sides was tidy and uncomplicated.
The opposition fielded an older, more experienced side, and you could see their know-how in patches, but they never really posed a threat. We created far more chances throughout the match, and on another day the scoreline could—and probably should—have been a lot higher.
A win is a win, and we’re pleased to take it. Onto the next. results: Old Parmiterians FC 0-4 nhfc
