Welcome Our New Sporting Director

We’re delighted to welcome Herschel Lowry to the club as our NEW Sporting Director.

This appointment builds on the strong foundations already in place at the club and reflects our ambition to continue developing, refining and supporting what is already a thriving football environment. Bringing in a Sporting Director is a positive step that reinforces our commitment to high standards, clear pathways and long-term sustainability across all sections of the club.

Herschel is a modern, detail-driven coach with experience across academy, development and senior football in both the men’s and women’s game. He has worked in high-performance environments including Cambridge United, Colchester United, Ipswich Town, Crystal Palace and Crystal Palace Academy, as well as Maidstone United and Chatham Town, including their academy structures.

His coaching background spans youth development through to U18s and U23s, alongside first-team men’s and women’s football, with a strong focus on player progression, strong team culture and match-ready training that translates to performance on the pitch. As part of his role, Herschel will also support our senior teams through the use of video and data analysis, helping to enhance preparation, decision-making and performance at the highest level of the club.

For parents, this appointment supports consistency, clarity and continued progression within an already positive and successful club setup, while ensuring players continue to enjoy their football in a supportive environment.
